Come Fly with Me

The Fly Agaric Fungi is one of the most recognisable fungi growing in our woods. They thrive on light soils among birch, pine or spruce.

This inncent looking fungi is not to be eaten as it can cause hallucinations and is linked to a sensation of flying, hence the name of this piece "Come Fly with Me"

This fungi has been made from stiffened cloth, that has been embroidered and painted. It sits upon a ball of vintage crochet thread and has been made by myself in my home studio to my design.

Measuring 12.5 cms high and 7cms at its widest point.
